Searching for some melancholy folk in the vein of Iron & Wine or Bon Iver? Preferably with some grainy vocals and lightning-quick finger-picking guitar play? Then Sweden’s Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man On Earth, is your go-to person. It took a while for the Swede to return with new work, but 2019 finally saw the release of ‘I Love You. It’s A Fever Dream’, an incredible, romantic follow-up to big hitters like ‘Shallow Grave’ and ‘Dark Bird Is Home’. The accompanying tour was postponed for obvious reasons, but that didn’t mean Matsson was going to just sit around and wait. During the lockdown, he treated fans to livestream-concerts through his social media channels, and he also created the beautiful concert film/documentary ‘The Little Red Barn Show’.
However, since live music is a thing again now, it’s time to see The Tallest Man On Earth at your favourite summer festival! Let yourself be carried away on a sultry summer night at the Minnewaterpark.
