| Anna Calvi, the London-based singer-songwriter with an opera voice and masterful guitar skills makes powerful and passionate music inspired by goth rock, flamenco and classical composers like Ravel and Debussy. In the process, she explores themes of lust, control and heartbreak, which she complements with gender and sexual identity on her latest album ‘Hunter‘ (2018). With ‘Hunter‘, Calvi secured her third consecutive Mercury Prize nomination. Among her fans and collaborators are David Byrne, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Marianne Faithfull, Brian Eno, Nick Cave and David Lynch. She recently provided the original score for the last two seasons of Peaky Blinders, a perfect match for her gritty and urgent rock.
