When BAZART unleashed their single ‘Goud‘ on the world in 2015, a small earthquake happened in the Dutch-speaking music landscape. The song became a monster hit and was their ticket to the stages of Rock Werchter and Pinkpop, among others. However, anyone who thought BAZART would be a one-hit wonder was sorely mistaken. Mathieu Terryn, Simon Nuytten and Oliver Symons proved with their debut album ‘Echo‘, successors ‘2‘ and ‘Onderweg‘ and hits such as ‘Anders‘, ‘Chaos‘, ‘Denk Maar Niet Aan Morgen‘, ‘Onder Ons‘ (with Eefje de Visser) and ‘Hou Mij Vast‘ (with Pommelien Thijs) that BAZART can rightly and justifiably be called our biggest Dutch-language indie pop band.

In late 2023, BAZART once again illustrated their sharp position in our music scene with their Echo concept in the Sportpaleis. Together with a diverse bouquet of Dutch-speaking peers (Noordkaap, Merol, Pommelien Thijs and Guusje), they provided a big party that once again brought fans of pop and alternative closer together. As a result, the try-out they played at Cactus Club sold out in less than an hour. Those among the lucky ones recognised Triggerfinger drummer Mario Goossens and Tom Coghe of Goose on stage, saw a smashing show as always and heard Mathieu Terryn openly apply for a spot at Cactus Festival. With the promise that the roof will be blown off as hard as ever… Here we go!
