| You’re seeing it right: for the first time, a rapper is taking the top ranks of the Cactusfestival line-up. Zwangere Guy a.k.a. ZG a.k.a. Papa ZG a.k.a. Papucho is nothing less than a phenomenon. With STIKSTOF, he has been telling grim stories from the capital since 2010 together with Jazz Brak and Astrofisiks. But it is mainly his solo album ‘Wie is Guy’ (2019) that lifts Zwangere Guy – born Gorik van Oudheusden – above his Brussels scene. The raw lyrics about his youth and environment, supported by the strong, forward-thinking beats of producer UMI, made ‘Wie is Guy’ an instant success. Thanks to his wild live shows, in which he never holds back, ZG quickly built a large and devoted fanbase. After the success of his albums ‘BRUTAAL’ and ‘BRUTXXL’ (2020), Zwangere Guy began writing together with his childhood friend Frederik Daem on the highly praised series ‘Putain’ – a new way to make his voice heard. He curated the music for the series himself, with help from familiar names like Brutus, Madou, and Faberyayo. But the big stories meanwhile came from Gorik’s personal life: a reconciliation with his mother, the birth of his daughter, dealing with his father’s illness. But also keeping “angry Guy” under control and learning to love himself again. The result, ‘Dit is Guy’, was released in September 2025 and offers a unique look at his personal growth as an artist and as a human being. As of 2025, Zwangere Guy is not only a rebellious iconoclast but an icon of his generation. A rapper who sells out arenas and dedicates himself to multiple artistic disciplines, combining the power of the streets with the love for his family.
