| With The Haunted Youth, Joachim Liebens is writing one of the greatest Belgian success stories of recent years. The dreamy and melancholic charm of debut single ‘Teen Rebel’ suddenly turned the band into a phenomenon that captured hearts in no time — not only in Belgium, but all over the world. From Studio Brussel to radio stations in Germany, Switzerland, and France, all the way to the American KEXP — the tastemaker of indie rock in the US — The Haunted Youth received airplay and attention everywhere. Second single ‘Gone’ proved that the band was more than a one-hit wonder and was named Single of the Year by Studio Brussel. Liebens refined his formula on debut album ‘Dawn of the Freak’. Dreamy guitars, nostalgic synths, and deeply personal lyrics make The Haunted Youth a band that offers comfort and connection — despite the dark themes Liebens explores in his writing. Since 2022, The Haunted Youth has been touring almost non-stop, playing increasingly larger festival stages and venues at home and abroad.
