Action Bronson, the chef-turned-rapper-turned-TV personality, is a phenomenon. The Queens-born rapper was born to an Albanian father and a Jewish mother and grew up in a cramped apartment surrounded by cousins, aunts and migrants who had fled the war in Kosovo. A broken leg kept Bronson – whose real name is Ariyan Arslani – away from the kitchen. He used the unexpected free time to seriously pursue the rap career he had been toying with for some time. The rest is history: with his debut studio album ‘Mr. Wonderful’ (2015), following a string of highly acclaimed mixtapes, he instantly became one of hip-hop’s hottest names.
