| Los Bitchos is an all-female band to love—unless you simply hate having fun. The London-based band is a true melting pot. Guitarist Serra has Australian and Turkish roots, Agustina Ruiz (synth and keytar) is from Uruguay, bassist Josefine Jonsson is from Sweden, and drummer Nic Crawshaw is British. They blend the influences of their cultural backgrounds into their largely instrumental tracks. The result is playful surf exotica that sounds like the soundtrack to a night of going hard on margaritas and seeing what happens next. Think: riding shotgun next to the heroine in a Tarantino film, walking through swinging saloon doors like a cowgirl ready to turn everything upside down, wandering through the desert among panthers… you get the idea. With their debut ‘Let The Festivities Begin!’ (2022), produced by Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand), and its follow-up ‘Talkie Talkie’ (2024), Los Bitchos have toured non-stop across major festivals and as support for acts such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Franz Ferdinand, Pavement, and Mac DeMarco. Their infectious live set is an instant party starter that gets even the biggest cynic moving. And for the haters, the Bitchos have a message: ‘suck on that one, bitch!’ |
